People seem perplexed by my liking of Toyah but the early albums crackle with life, and the gigs were often clandestine, moody things, attracting much of the early Goth audience. She was also fabulous to interview, which I managed half a dozen times. There’re some truly awful shots from Harrow in 1980, included because they’re so crap they’re rare. There're better live ones from the Music Machine in 1980, and some nice posed shots during interviews from 1980 and 1981.
